10. Getting the xTuple ERP desktop client

To get the latest xTuple desktop client application, go to the qt-client releases page on Github. The client filenames look like these. The first group of numbers is the client version (4.10.0 in the examples below). The second set of numbers (gf689c0a) are a release code that you can ignore. Then you'll see the operating system. There are two client versions for Linux: one for 32-bit and one for 64-bit.

  • xTuple-4.10.0-gf689c0a-Linux32Qt5.tar.bz2

  • xTuple-4.10.0-gf689c0a-Linux64Qt5.tar.bz2

  • xTuple-4.10.0-gf689c0a-MACx86_64Qt5.dmg

  • xTuple-4.10.0-gf689c0a-WindowsQt5.zip

Download the client that corresponds to the platform on which you want to run the client (Linux, Windows, or Macintosh). You should also read the Release Notes posted there.

Once you have the file, just unzip it and move the client file to your applications directory. Then you can launch it an connect to your updated database.
