2. Basic xTuple Distribution Flow
Before you begin using the wholesale distribution functionality, it's important to understand the basic flow and how the components all fit together. First of all, you will need either the Distribution or Enterprise edition of xTuple ERP. You will also need to be subscribed to and/or otherwise have access to the various vendor catalogs for your industry (e.g., electrical, plumbing or industrial). When it comes to importing catalog items into xTuple, import maps are readily available. These maps can also be used to update xTuple with weekly changes to trade service items. You will be able to configure many properties for these items and link directly to their online specification sheets.
