An authenticated user is a user who is registered on your portal―meaning they have a username and a password which allows them to log in. An anonymous user becomes an authenticated user once they either create an account or log in. Any user who is assigned to a role is also considered to be authenticated.

Note

The system can be configured so that new user accounts must be approved by a manager before they can be accessed by the user.
