5.2. Sales Rep Groups

To access the Sales Rep Group master list, select Sales Rep Groups under Master Information in the left pane of the Sales Setup screen.

Tip

If the Sales Rep Groups master list is not visible, you will need to go through the configuration of the Sales module from the beginning to ensure that the user has sufficient privileges and that enhanced commissions is enabled.

Sales Rep Group master list

The Sales Rep master list displays the name and description of each existing sales rep group. These groups can be used to filter on groups of sales reps when commission schedules are assigned.

You can add, maintain, view or delete sales reps from this screen. When you add, maintain or view a sales rep, you will be presented with the following screen:

Sales Rep Group

Name

This is the name of the sales rep group.

Description

This field can be used to give a description for the group to make it easier to identify.

Member Sales Reps

This section of the screen contains a list of the sales reps having this group assigned to them. Click the ADD button to select and add sales reps from the Sales Reps master list to the group.

To remove an existing sales rep from this group, click the REMOVE button on the Sales Rep Group screen.

When adding or maintaining a sales rep group, it is necessary to save any changes by clicking the SAVE button. You can exit the screen by clicking the CLOSE button.

Tip

Another method for assigning a sales rep to a sales rep group is to maintain a sales rep from the Sales Rep master list and click on the ATTACH button on the Group tab. You will be presented with the list of available sales rep groups where you can highlight a group and click on the SELECT button to attach the group to the sales rep.
