The ability to email documents from xTuple ERP is enabled by the xTuple Connect extension package. To learn more about xTuple Connect, follow this link: http://www.xtuple.com/connect.
Getting back to our process flow, we have created and saved the quote. We're now ready to email a copy to the customer. When documents are emailed from xTuple ERP—whether to customers or vendors—the documents are most often sent as .PDF attachments. When the customer or vendor receives the email, they can download the attachment and print it (if necessary) for their files. To email the quote, follow these steps:
Go to
.Enter the quote number in the Quote field using the magnifying glass—or enter the number manually, followed by the key.
The following screen will appear:
Review the outgoing email and make any needed changes.
Next, preview the quote by selecting the
tab.On the
tab, select the button to see the same .PDF attachment the customer will see.Select
to send the email.For free trial users, the email will not actually be sent. Instead, it will be posted as a pending job in the outgoing queue here:
