13.1.6. Workflow Activation

Workflow is a method for generating and assigning business activities to specific users, and chaining activities together into dependent sequences (workflows). Workflow templates can be created and maintained in the desktop client, if the Workflow Extension package is installed. To learn more about workflow, please see the Workflow documentation.

To configure workflow for the desktop client, go to System > Setup > Configure > Workflow Activation. The following screen will appear:

When configuring workflow for the desktop client, you are presented with the following options:

Create Workflow from the Desktop client

Select this option to allow workflow to be created from the desktop client. Workflow activities cannot be added until this option is enabled.
