1. Quality Specifications

Quality specifications are the individual details that differ between tests. It is the instruction used to specify and create the types of tests being run.

Navigate to Manufacture > Quality > Test Specifications. On this screen you will define all of the individual tests or inspections are required by the various items. These specifications can be quantitative (numeric) or qualitative (pass/fail).

When creating a new quality specification, enter a unique code and description for the test and select the Specification Type from the dropdown.

Optionally, enter the test equipment to be used when testing and detailed test instructions can be entered here which will be used to ensure consistency of the test methodology.

You may select a qualitative or quantitative option for the Test Type specification. If the Numeric Value test type is selected (quantitative), you will be required to enter the Target measurement and the Test UOM (unit of measure) of the test. You will also need to enter Upper Level and Lower Level tolerances in order for the system to ascertain the status of an individual test.

To create or view instructions related to the quality specifications, select the Instructions tab. When adding instructions, you are presented with the following option:

To create or view notes related to a quality specifications, select the Notes tab. When adding notes, you are presented with the following option:
