Project accounting also provides you with the ability to create ad hoc journal entries by project. The following screenshot shows a simple journal entry—but you can also create series and standard journal entries by project;
As you can see in this example, we have linked both sides of this transaction to the "GREENLEAF" project. Of course, when this journal entry is posted, the G/L accounts will contain the project number as the final segment. The nice thing about the project link to simple and series journal entries is that you can impact any account in the chart of accounts. You can use these tools to make adjustments to project financials, as needed.
