4. Job Costing Configuration
The configuration for job costing, like many of the other features described in this chapter, is fairly simple. There is an optional CRM configuration and an item site flag to indicate the job costing method should be used. The job costing method can be applied to any manufactured item. When the job costing method is applied, the system then recognizes the manufactured item as a Job item—meaning all the special job costing features will be used.
Note
There are no special user permissions required for using or processing job items. From a permissions point of view, job items are treated like any other manufactured item.
