We'll continue to use the Receivables workbench to enter the cash receipt—and apply it to the open receivable. If you don't still have the Receivables workbench open, here's how you get to it to enter a cash receipt:

Enter the "TTOYS" customer number.

This is a new cash receipt for the TTOYS customer.
Notice that the balance due amount for the TTOYS invoice is displayed under the
tab at the bottom of the screen.Enter the amount received.
Since there may be terms discounts involved, highlight the invoice line item and then select the
button.Notice how the balance due amount was updated after applying the discount.
Because the cash is being received less than ten days after the invoice date, the customer is entitled to a 2% discount on the total—since their terms are 2-10N30.
Using the updated balance due amount, enter this amount in the Amount Received field.
The goal here is to have $0 in the Balance field.
Use Funds Type.
