Tax zones are geographic areas that have a specific tax jurisdiction and tax assignment. The Tax zone is typically defined at the order header level, although ship-to addresses may also have separate tax zones. The tax zone makes up one third of the three-way match on tax assignments, which includes tax code, tax type, and tax zone. When all three of these match for a particular order, then tax will be calculated appropriately.

To access the master list of tax zones, go to Accounting > Tax > Tax Zones. The following screen will appear:

The Tax Zones screen displays information on all existing tax zones, including tax zone area and tax zone description.
