7. Maintenance Mode

There may be times when you want to take your portal offline for a period of time. For example, if you have some major updates to the portal's theme or features you do not want users attempting to make a purchase at the same time because it will likely cause errors. We've made it easy to be able to put the portal into maintenance mode so that you and your team are able to access the portal to perform the maintenance, but other visitors will see a maintenance message when the land on your portal.

To set your portal to maintenance mode, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Admin > Configuration > Development > Maintenance Mode.

  2. Check the checkbox for Put site into maintenance mode.

  3. There is a default maintenance mode message in place, but you can update the content if you wish.

  4. Click SAVE CONFIGURATION to put the portal in maintenance mode.

    Note

    If you need to access the portal once it is in maintenance mode, go to www.example.com/user and you will be able to login.
