The Quality Control extension package for xTuple is a completely new module designed to cover the inspection and testing of items at various stages of the product life-cycle. The extension is aimed at covering some aspects of ISO9001 compliance, but will not cover the entirety of the standard—at least in the initial release. Quality control is intended for the shopfloor and will allow for inspection or testing at any of the following stages: item receipt, post production, post operation, and shipment.
Important
The Quality Control package requires that you have the Workflow package also installed. Without Workflow, the Quality package cannot operate.
