Maintenance classes are groups of maintenance plans which are used to assign planned maintenance activities to assets. Different plans (of potentially different) frequencies are assigned to a class, and the class effectively describes the complete schedule of planned maintenance activity for an asset.

From the maintenance classes screen you can create new classes, and edit or delete existing classes. The search function also allows you to restrict the list to the text you enter. You cannot delete a maintenance class that is assigned to a fixed asset. Press the NEW button (or choose this option from the right-click menu) to create a new maintenance class.
