Here are the steps required to scrap an asset:
Highlight the asset to dispose of via scrapping.
Press the button.
The asset will be marked as retired with a disposition reason of scrap.
In addition a ledger series is posted which does the following:
Debit – scrap account
Credit – fixed asset account
