If you plan to use the email integration features of xTuple Connect, install the two Trojita email clients on every computer where users run the main xTuple ERP client application. The email server and xTuple ERP database are synchronized automatically when users are logged in but only if the Trojita email clients are installed alongside the xTuple ERP client.
After uncompressing the xtConnect folder downloaded from xTuple, you will find a subfolder called trojita. Copy this subfolder so that it is in the same directory as the xTuple client. If you used the xTuple installer you should find the xTuple client in one of the following locations:
C:\Program Files\xTuple\Client
/Applications/xTuple/Client
/opt/xTuple/client
Linux users must change the name of this folder from trojita to xtconnect.
